McLaren confirms Paris Motor Show attendance, will likely show F1 successor

McLaren Automotive has announced that it will be formally present at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, unveiling a new car on Thursday, September 27. We have good reason to believe that this could only be the much-rumored F1 hypercar successor. Aside from a few spy photos, the only visual hint we get of the next McLaren is this still of time-lapse wind-tunnel testing. In this image, we see the silhouette of a very swoopy design, with several gaping vents.

Rumor has it that the engine will be an 800-horsepower version of the company's twin-turbocharged V8.
