Is this the world's first two-wheel-drive motorcycle burnout?

Is this the world's first two-wheel-drive motorcycle burnout?

There are motorcycle burnouts, and there are two-wheel-drive motorcycle burnouts – the latter of which don't happen too often. All-wheel-drive motorcycle maker Christini also makes frame kits to convert certain KTM and Honda motorcycles into two-wheel-drive monsters, and this converted Austrian adventure bike could be the first motorcycle to perform a two-wheel-drive burnout - or at least the first one captured on video. Regardless of whether it's the first or not, the video of the burnout (which you can watch below) is thoroughly entertaining.

Jaguar-Land Rover is not what you'd call a volume automaker by any stretch of the imagination. But in the dozen years since it started manufacturing at its Halewood plant near Liverpool, England, the automaker has already built its millionth vehicle. The landmark vehicle is a Range Rover Evoque, done up in white with red roof and mirrors, black wheels and a red and black interior.

Are you an iPhoneographer who has wanted to record a video or a snapshot that captures action from both the main and front facing cameras at the exact same time in a cool split-screen layout? AbracadabrApp does just that, but it's not actually an app that you install on your iPhone. It's an analog “app” that has been made from a Moleskine reporter's notebook, that transforms it into a miniature film and photo studio. A hole drilled into the notebook accommodates a revolving mirror and simple stand holds an iPhone 4 or newer.

Apple Patent Reveals Lytro-like Camera Plans

We're sure you guys have heard of the Lytro camera which for those unfamiliar, is a rather unique camera in the sense that you could shoot your photos first and focus on specific portions of the photo later. This allowed photographers to capture images in the moment without having to worry about fiddling with focus and finding that sweet spot. Such a camera would be interesting especially if brought to mobile devices, especially when mobile devices are used heavily in taking photos these days since we have them on us all the time.

Lamborghini teases engine sound, but of Sesto Elemento or Cabrera?

Lamborghini teases engine sound, but of Sesto Elemento or Cabrera?

Lamborghini has launched a website for something it calls the Hexagon Project. The mysterious page asks that you submit your email address, and then it gives you a taste of glorious V10 engine noise, with the message: "Listen to your instinct. Discover the roar of a new creature from Lamborghini. That will be just the beginning.".
But where is that wonderful noise going to come from? Since we don't see Lambo launching a front-engined, front-drive minivan in the near future, we're guessing it'll be found in the back of some low-slung, edgy super car.

In our minds, that leaves two candidates.

The Lamborghini Gallardo made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in 2003, after Volkswagen Group's Audi bought the Italian automaker. With a V10 engine, all-wheel drive and relatively high production numbers for a Lamborghini (about 2,000 per year), it easily became the the company's best-selling car. Ten years later, Gallardo production has ended to make room for a new super sportscar that has been seen testing and is widely referred to as the Cabrera (Lamborghini hasn't officially said what it will be called). The last Gallardo to roll off the assembly line was a LP 570-4 Spyder Performante in Rosso Mars (Mars Red). It's No.

Twitter Will Now Age-Screen Users Willing To Follow Alcohol Brands

Twitter today announced that it has implemented a new age-screening system for users who are willing to follow alcohol brands. Seeing as it is a global social network, and the legal drinking age varies in different countries, Twitter will now ask users to confirm their date of birth when they follow such a brand. The microblogging network will then check if they're of or over the legal drinking age in their country, if they are, their follow request will be approved and if they aren't, the follow will be denied. The age-screening feature has been rolled out on twitter.com, and on its iOS and Android apps.

Hardware and setup. The Automatic Link dongle is a small, simple device with a single OBD-II port and a speaker. There really isn't much to it, which is fine because after you locate the port on your car and plug the device in, you might notice it again. Internally, it features a Bluetooth Low Energy module and... we can't think of much else that's worth mentioning. Ultimately, this is just a Bluetooth LE-to-OBD-II bridge, and an expensive one at that.

While the Z30 isn't exactly the most powerful smartphone available at the moment, and nor is BlackBerry an extremely popular operating system for mobile devices (it still has a pretty loyal following though), $199.99 did seem a tad pricey especially given that there are other options out there that can be had for a similar, if not lower price.

Before the team at Autoblog could drive actual cars, we cut our teeth on remote-controlled facsimiles, building ramps, jumps and all manner of obstacles, in a bid to destroy our cars test our driving prowess. For most of us, though, once we were old enough to drive, or at least consider driving, the RC cars were handed down to our younger siblings or that neighbor kid. We've maintained a soft spot for the RC, though, and always get some joy out of them being used in a professional context. Wildlife photography is as challenging as hunting, which makes getting shots from up close difficult and dangerous.

But as we found at the Tokyo Motor Show this year, Japanese motorcycle manufacturers are capable of producing all kinds of motorbikes. And to our delight, that includes cafe racers. Along with the myriad electric bikes, dirt bikes, crotch rockets and scooters, the halls of Tokyo's Big Site convention center this year were full of the retro-infused rides we love.

Porsche has just debuted its two latest decapitated rocket sleds today at the LA Auto Show, the new 911 Turbo Cabriolet and Turbo S Cabriolet, which share their coupe counterparts' 520-horsepower and 560-hp 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engines. That kind of power ought separate a lot of hats (and toupees!) from heads. The rear-engined Porsches put their power down through all four wheels, which allows them to launch from 0-60 in 3.3 seconds or less (the Turbo S Cab takes just 3.1 seconds), and both of them top out at 195 mph.

2014 Acura RLX Sport Hybrid SH-AWD is the V8 alternative we've been waiting for (video)

If there's one issue we have with the Acura RLX, it's that it's not a particularly exciting car. It's a solid luxury sedan, but its standard V6 engine - complete with 310 horsepower and 272 pound-feet of torque - is lacking when you can snap up a BMW 5 Series with a 4.4-liter, twin-turbocharged V8. The RLX Sport Hybrid SH-AWD should address this complaint. While it retains the standard car's 3.5-liter V6, it adds on three electric motors - one 35-kilowatt motor in front and two 27-kW motors at each rear wheel, for a grand total of 377 horsepower.

Communicating with kids can be quite a daunting task, especially since some can be particularly active and refuse to listen. Sending kids text messages or emails won't necessarily work either, so how about sending them voice messages that can be delivered in a fun medium that kids might respond to. That's pretty much the premise of Toymail, a Kickstarter project founded by Gauri Nanda and Audry Hill, the former who was looking for a fun way to stay in touch with their Audry Hill's kids whenever she felt like she had something to tell them, something as simple as, "I love you". The camera app of the Moto X has been revamped too. It will allow users to adjust both focus and exposure. MotorolaÂ's Touchless Control has also been enhanced.

Of course, a new Android 4.4 version will bring the new, cleaner UI to the Moto X too.
