Watch the 2014 Cadillac CTS get its groove on in the rain

In case you haven't got enough of the 2014 Cadillac CTS that just debuted at the New York Auto Show, Cadillac has let us have some rolling footage of the car around its test track along with a few words from VP of marketing Don Butler and executive director of design Mark Adams. You won't learn much more about its 420-horsepower, twin-turbo V6 but you can hear how it growls in the rain, and you can get a better idea of how you'll look in the driver's seat giving it a workout. That's got to be worth something, right.

Ssangyong gets handsome with LIV-1 large SUV concept

Ssangyong has rolled another SUV out of the concept room and into the Seoul Motor Show called the LIV-1 – which stands for Limitless Interface Vehicle. The large four-wheel-drive machine is going into production according to Ssyangyong's CEO and will slot in between the Rodius and Rexton. It will surely be toned down from the substantial, and substantially creased, SUV previewed in South Korea with its greenhouse full of glass and slivers for pillars.

Lenovo Reportedly Looking To Buy NEC's Mobile Phone Business

When it comes to buying smartphones, brands like Apple, Samsung, LG, Motorola, and HTC come to mind. While other manufacturers like Lenovo have smartphones of their own, they do not have the same amount of clout other manufacturers do, but perhaps that might change in the future should Lenovo combine forces with NEC. According a report from Nikkei and confirmed by sources from Reuters, Lenovo is reportedly looking to buy the mobile phone division from NEC. Apparently NEC has not been doing too well in the mobile phone business and are looking to cut their losses.

Four seniors to drive around world in pair of Suzuki Jimny SUVs for charity

Plenty of us here at Autoblog have designs for epic drives. Whether it's bouncing around the country in an old International or heading from Alaska to Chile on a bike, we like to think we have big aspirations. Or at least we did until we heard about these four gentlemen. You see, Leslie George Carvall, Alan Butler, Glyn Maher and Charles Scott are all in their 70's, and they plan to pile into a pair of Suzuki Jimny SUVs and drive around the world. Sort of makes a hike across country seem like a trip down the block to the local corner store.

Kia's promised 'four-door coupe' Cub concept... isn't

Kia appears to have pulled a quick one on the world with its Cub Concept. As it turns out, the machine isn't the four-door coupe they promised at all. Instead, the little showcar is a five-door hatch with suicide rear doors. That's certainly fine by our reckoning, but it isn't quite what we were expecting to see on display at the Seoul Motor Show. The concept was penned at the company's design studio in Seoul with direction from Peter Schreyer, and it gets its thrust from a 204-horsepower, 1.6-liter direct-injection four-cylinder engine.

Volvo confirms return of the wagon with V60 headed to US

Turns out that promised new production Volvo model for the United States is indeed the V60 wagon, as we had previously predicted. And it's not terribly surprising, as Volvo has a long and storied history of wagon sales in the US, from the old, loveable 240 to the more recent high-performance V70R. And yet the automaker hasn't had a proper non-XC, non-crossover-style wagon in the US since it pulled the V70 away at the end of the 2010 model year.

2014 Dodge Durango leaks ahead of NY rollout

Even though Chrysler will reportedly discontinue the Dodge Durango after the current model's lifespan – said to be around 2016 – that isn't stopping the automaker from improving its full-size, three-row SUV. The vehicle won't debut at the New York Auto Show until tomorrow, but images are already leaking out ahead of the embargo lift, and they show that the 2014 model is getting even more aggressive styling to go with more technology inside and out.

Yes, everyone's eyes are on the ludicrously excellent 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 at the 2013 New York Auto Show, but Chevy also unveiled the quietly updated 2014 Camaro SS as well. The coupe wears all of the styling tweaks we saw earlier in the week, including a functional hood vent to help reduce engine bay temperatures and aerodynamic lift. The new front fascia now wears a larger lower grille to improve engine cooling as well.

Logitech is expanding their line of keyboard cases for the iPad and iPad mini with their new Keyboard Folio cases.  The cases will have a fabric exterior available in a variety of colors (color selections may vary by region).  Hidden magnets keep the case securely closed to protect the touchscreen when you aren't using the iPad, and they work with the iPad's sleep/wake functions, just as a Smart Cover does.  The Bluetooth keyboards inside have rechargeable batteries that can go 3 months between charges (based on 2 hours of use/day).

HTC One Has Already Received Hundreds Of Thousands Of Pre-Orders

We're sure that most of you guys have heard by now that the HTC One has been delayed, although HTC is aiming for a release before the end of April. In the meantime we have to wonder, with this delay, will phones like the Sony Xperia Z overtake the HTC One, and will Samsung's Galaxy S4 be able to snatch some market share away, especially if both devices are released around the same time. While we have to wait for the numbers to be released, a report has suggested that in the US, there have been hundreds of thousands of pre-orders that have already been placed for the HTC One.

The Pebble smartwatch can be said to be a labor of love, although waiting for the watch to come into existence is not exactly the best thing to do so far, as history has indicated, where the entire process proved to be excruciatingly slow. Well, after waiting for so long, only to pick up a Pebble watch, it would not be surprising to hear that a handful of Pebble owners are not too pleased to see their new smartwatches go dead after a shutdown.

In Japan, the culture of gift giving is very important, and nowhere is that as commonly seen as when people take trips. It is very important to come back with a souvenir (“omiyage”) from where your trip took you. Different food and other goods from overseas trips for the folks back home are important, but so are different regional foods from different regions in Japan. Usually this means small specialty items only available in different regions of Japan.

Well, whenever you travel, even if just for a day, it is wise and of course advisable to bring around your mobile charger as you can never quite tell just when you need more juice than normal. Most chargers have been minimized in design for some time already, but if there is a chance for change, why not. Apple's New App Store Submission Guidelines Requires All Apps To Be Compatible With Retina Displays

I'm not sure about you guys, but I realized that there are still quite a few apps out there that have yet to take advantage of the iPhone 5's taller display. While the black frames help the app to blend in with the black iPhone 5, I find myself missing keys because I'm used to the taller display. It's not a big issue but apparently Apple is looking to standardize their apps across the board, and thankfully so. According to a new set of guidelines Apple released to their developers, new app submissions and updates submitted to the iTunes App Store has to be designed with the Retina display and the iPhone 5's display in mind.

Why do carmakers still fail to get get what women want?

Why do carmakers still fail to get get what women want?

Automakers have a long and checkered past when it comes to attempting to market cars specifically to woman buyers. Stabs at attracting the female sex have ranged from the subtly sexist notion that woman are really only shopping on behalf of their children's needs, to out-and-out condescension of lipstick-colored paint jobs and interior-matching frocks. (For one such clunker, take a look at the ill-conceived Dodge La Femme, above.).

Brenthaven Trek Folio for iPad mini review

Brenthaven Trek Folio for iPad mini review

When I first try a new gadget, it can take me a while to finally find the case I prefer for it.  That's been true for my iPad mini, too.  When I got that first iPad years ago, I wanted a back cover that was clear, to let the beauty of the aluminum back show through (and to be sure everyone knew I had an iPad ).  Now that I've calmed down a bit, I've decided I like minimal folio cases, and I don't care if the iPad's back shows through.  I found a folio case that I liked for the mini, but I'm always willing to try another.

Robert Kubica would give it all back to be in F1 again

Robert Kubica hasn't been in a Formula One grand prix race since a rally crash left him injured in early 2011, but that doesn't mean the driver has stopped thinking about F1. According to Autosport.com, Kubica is headed back to WRC2, but remains focused on getting back into an F1 driver's seat. While he had received offers to race in DTM, he chose to stick with rallying because the demanding physical challenges should provide better preparation for a return to open-wheel racing.

BMW has confirmed the long-anticipated X4 will bow next year. Norbert Reithofer, chairman of the automaker's board of management, made mention of the upcoming CUV during remarks at the company's annual accounts press conference. He declined to offer up any more details, though from what we've heard so far, the model will be more of a crossover than either the X3 or the X5.
