Google ready to bring ads to Gmail Android app

Google ready to bring ads to Gmail Android app

Gmail for Android received a really nice update last week. It came with an awesome card style UI, but there is much more hiding behind that beautiful style. Google has also included some coding into Gmail v4.6 that will not make many of you happy, because it seems the app will be getting ads very soon. The app has managed to stay ad-less until now, but we must realize Google lives off advertising. It's the main reason why we get most of their services for free (or very cheap).

The perfect gift for the special Captain in your life!

The holiday gift-giving season is coming quickly, and Roddenberry Entertainment has a perfect gift suggestion for the Captain in your life (especially if it's you).  Captain Kirk's own chair was built by surrounding a Danish chair with a plywood enclosure and equipping it with incandescent lights for the buttons.  These Star Trek TOS Captain's Chair replicas are designed after carefully studying the original prop.  They have walnut laminate on the arms, but the heat-producing incandescent buttons have been replaced with cooler LEDs.

2015 Lexus RC F leaked out ahead of upcoming debut?

2015 Lexus RC F leaked out ahead of upcoming debut?

Lexus has had a somewhat volatile relationship with coupes. The first-gen SC gave way to the bloated second-gen convertible, which itself went out of production three years ago. The LFA arrived the same year the SC departed, but awesome as it was, it's six-figure price tag and limited production put it well out of reach even for the brand's typical upscale customers. That left only the IS Convertible to hold down the two-door end of the lineup, but Lexus is keen to fill that void with the arrival of the upcoming RC.

Nikon Patent Hints At Camera With Interchangeable Sensors

Nikon Patent Hints At Camera With Interchangeable Sensors

Megapixels are one of the things that camera manufacturers love to tout and use as a tool to market their products, although many photographers will tell you that the megapixels don't really matter that much unless you're planning to print huge photos, and while it does help to a certain degree, having more megapixels does not necessarily mean it is a better camera. To that extent wouldn't it be a great idea if cameras could come with interchangeable sensors. Imagine if you could buy a camera body but be able to swap out sensors depending on your needs, or if you needed to clean it or gain access to it, wouldn't that be convenient.

Paper. The curse of our record management as 21st century humans. The promise of computers has always been “the paperless office,” but most computer users have produced more paper, rather than less. The need for a piece of paper for giving information to someone else, “sign and return” situations like leases and contracts, and the wealth of information available only on paper has contributed (via photocopiers) to this avalanche of paper in which we find ourselves.

Over the span of its 49 years and five generations, the Ford Mustang has held a special place in the hearts of automotive enthusiasts in the US, but, as it turns out, this car is also very popular amongst European car lovers. Earlier this summer, AutoScout24 – a new and used car shopping site in Europe – polled around 75,000 European "car lovers" (not sure how they vetted the respondents) to see which cars were the most popular, and the Mustang came out on top over iconic European classics like the BMW M1 and Volkswagen Beetle.

Nokia Lumia 520 Apparently Best Selling Windows Device

Yet another tidbit has leaked from Microsoft's recent internal meeting. Apparently the low end Nokia Lumia 520 is the best selling single Windows device in the world, that's better than any single model of any Windows Phone smartphone, Windows powered tablet or even a Windows PC. The major reason behind its popularity is without a doubt its price. Recently, the Lumia 520 was available for as low as $80 off contract, courtesy of a coupon code. Nokia has generally fared well in the low end market with its feature phones, the Lumia 520 is capable of doing much more than a feature phone without costing an exorbitant amount of money.

As of our report in March, VW hadn't built a single Routan in 2013, and we can't imagine things have gotten much better for the minivan since then.

The Gallardo has, far and away, been the most successful model in Lamborghini's history. But despite more updates and derivatives than we can count, after a decade on the market, it's grown a little long in the proverbial tooth – to such an extent that it's seldom entered into comparison tests with rivals like the Ferrari 458 Italia and McLaren 12C. But Lamborghini is out to fix that with an all-new model. Tipped to be called "Cabrera," the new baby Lambo is expected to share an all-new platform with the next Audi R8 and possibly a new Porsche.
