2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo to hit 60 mph in 2 seconds?

Here's your daily dose of incredulity – AutoExpress is reporting the 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo will hit 60 miles per hour in two seconds. Okay. The report comes from an unnamed source that AE spoke with at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and would mean that the GT-R Nismo, a car that will likely sit above $150,000, will be able to outsprint (over short distances) a 1200-horsepower, $2.58-million Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.

Vibease Appears As Indiegogo Project

Sex sells, that goes without saying, but whether you do so in a tasteful manner or not is another question altogether. Vibease happens to be the world's first 'wearable smart vibrator' that has just launched on Indiegogo in order to gain enough funding from the general public and hopefully, the faith that the public shows in the idea will be translated to enough money collected so that this hands-free Bluetooth-enabled vibrator will become a reality.

Vaja Leather Grip Hardshell Case for iPhone 5 review

This is the third case I recently received to try with my iPhone 5 from Vaja Cases.  The Leather Grip Hardshell Case for iPhone 5 is a leather-wrapped hard backcover case.  It's quite different from the Vaja flip-cover cases I recently review.  (Check the related links at the bottom of the review.)  This case is for the person who wants to protect the back and sides of their iPhone 5 while leaving the touchscreen completely uncovered.

Why use a giant bag for a tiny laptop?

Why use a giant bag for a tiny laptop?

I have an 11″ MacBook Air, and it irks me to no end that most laptop bags that are supposedly designed for this tiny laptop will disclose in the fine print that they will accommodate up to a 15″ laptop.  I don't want my Air floating around in a giant, heavy bag.  I don't even want a bag that can accommodate both the 11″ and the 13″ Airs, either.  Frost River has just what I'm looking for – a tiny bag for a tiny laptop.

LG G2 will launch on 100 carriers worldwide in 2-3 months after August 7th announcement

After years of failures, this year LG  finally got back on track in smartphones. It got a serious image boost with Nexus 4 for Google, and further enhanced the reputation by a well designed flagships -Optimus G and G Pro. At the same time, LG's well positioned mid to low end Optimus L series delivered the necessary unit volumes to get the Korean handset maker a #3 spot among smartphone OEMs.

But one bottleneck was still slowing LG's growth. Distribution and manufacturing.

For some reason LG was very slow with the global roll-outs of their flagships. Optimus G Pro, for example, was launched in April in Korea and in the U.S. in May.

Automated Wine Bar Serves You Drinks After Smartcard Transaction

Self-service seems to be the way to go, and human waiters as well as bartenders do seem to be a dying breed in the process as part of the "collateral damage" whenever restaurants and eating establishments deploy food serving robots. Well, a new wine bar that will be opening in the New York area intends to do away with the classic bartender, but rather, would prefer to have their customers obtain their drinks from an automated kiosk using a smartcard.

XiaoMi Mi3 Launch Delayed To September (Rumor)

We did have pretty high hopes for the XiaoMi Mi3 smartphone, where even as recent as this morning, the folks over at XiaoMi did show us a glimpse of what could be in due time, where a red cloth covered a new, unreleased device. Most folks would have placed their money on this yet to be unveiled device as the XiaoMi Mi3, where in the past, it was spotted on an AnTuTu benchmark bearing the NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor. However, the latest bit of rumors making their way from China pointed out that the XiaoMi Mi3 will in all probability, drop Tegra 4 due to issues with the chipset, not to mention the smartphone will also be delayed to September.

When Apple releases iOS 7 to the public later this year, presumably in fall, a new version of iTunes will also be released. Up till now Apple has seeded four betas of iOS 7 to registered developers. The company is expected to seed two more before finally releasing the GM build prior to the public release. Today alongside iOS 7 beta 4, Apple also seeded iTunes 11.1 beta. This beta version of iTunes comes with Apple's Pandora-killer service called iTunes Radio, a service that is fully integrated in iOS 7 as well.

Right now only registered developers have access to this software as well as the iTunes Radio service.

Top Gear in dustup over alleged staged hovercraft scene (video)

Top Gear in dustup over alleged staged hovercraft scene (video)

Top Gear walks a very narrow line between documentary, sitcom and reality television. And while some aspects of it are true, it shouldn't be a huge shock that there are plenty of staged elements. Still, there seem to be elements of the British public that think everything shown on the telly is true, which makes the latest controversy over Top Gear's fakery seem rather silly to us. The anger stems from the July 21 episode, which actually airs tonight on BBC America (spoiler alert from here out), where Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May attempt to convert a Ford Transit into a hovercraft.

BMW won't begin selling the 2014 X5 for another few months, but the German manufacturer has brought the third-generation SAV's configurator online, allowing interested customers to poke around and look at the X5's optional goodies. Like the 3 Series, the X5 is available in a number of lines that load up extras automatically. There's also a do-it-yourself truck that allows owners to pick and choose if they're not enamored with the styling or trim of one of the dedicated packages. As usual, the options list is quite vast, regardless of which line is chosen.

When the Chevrolet Sonic came out, the YouTube-tastic band OK Go used it in a music video in which they drove the tiny hatch through a bunch of giant instruments to play their song Needing/Wanting. Two years later, the arrival of the 2014 Chevrolet Impala has got another band in a music-making mind, but this time it's Detroit's Gentlemen Mutineers recording their song Detroit Throttle inside the "library quiet" cabin of the sedan. Try the Konami Code in the Google Play Games app and see what happens

Gamers love easter eggs, and — fortunately for us — so does Google. We were ecstatic to learn that Google actually hid a nice little easter egg inside the new Google Play Games app. The company gave a nod to the classic and ever-so-popular Konami code that was popularized in Konami's age-old Contra. You can input that code within the app to get an exclusive achievement that reads:.
All your game are belong to us

To do it, simply input the directional part of the code using swipe gestures, and finish it off using the face buttons which will pop up on screen.

Sundar Pichai: New Samsung-made Google Nexus 10 tablet coming soon

Now that the second-generation Nexus 7 is finally official, you may wonder if there's also going to be a new Nexus 10 arriving soon. Well, it looks like the answer is yes. According to the WSJ's Amir Efrati, Google's Sundar Pichai himself said that a new 10-inch Nexus tablet would be unveiled "in the near future." Like the original Nexus 10, the next one will be manufactured by Samsung. No other details were given, but I assume the new 10 inch Nexus will be released before the end of this year.

Back in January, there was a rumor pointing to a next-gen Nexus 10 with an unspecified quad-core processor, and an 8-core Mali T678 GPU.

To say that you work at BlackBerry these days does not quite carry the same kind of badge of honor that it would have many years back, when BlackBerry was a well respected name, and there was no such thing as an iPhone just yet. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Could Be Delayed Due To Display Manufacturing Issues [Rumor]

With the success of the Samsung Galaxy Note and the Galaxy Note 2, it is not surprising that just like the Galaxy S4, the Galaxy Note 3 is a highly-anticipated device, with many wondering how it will look like, and what sort of specs it will pack under the hood. While we've heard rumors and seen leaks, a new report from the Asia Economic has suggested that the Galaxy Note 3 could be in "trouble", and by that it means that there are manufacturing problems that could possibly delay the release of the phone. According to the report, the Galaxy Note 3 will use a flexible, and thus more durable, OLED display.

In addition to NFC and 802.11n connectivity, ASUS and Google have baked in Bluetooth 4.0, thanks to Jelly Bean's new support for the standard (yippee!). There's also SlimPort support for pushing 1080p content to your TV. The front-facing camera remains just 1.2 megapixels, though, hopefully ASUS has moved to a higher-quality sensor. There's now a camera around back as well, a rather pedestrian 5MP shooter, but it should be good enough for scanning QR codes, performing image searches and taking the occasional YouTube clip of your cat/child/hedgehog/drunk celebrity.
