T-Mobile HTC One S Android 4.1.1 update now available

T-Mobile HTC One S Android 4.1.1 update now available

The Android 4.1.1 update for the HTC One S is finally being pushed out by T-Mobile. We're not sure if it's a coincidence that the update has been released 24 hours after T-Mobile's HTC One retail launch, but it does look a little suspicious. If you have not received a notification on your HTC One S to download the Jelly Bean update, you can manually ping T-Mobile's update servers by going to Settings > About > Software updates > Check now.
With HTC One S Android 4.1.1 update weighs in at 675.49 MB. Due to the size of the update, T-Mobile has made the decision that the update can only be downloaded over Wi-Fi.

Rockstar Giving Fans A Chance To Be Part Of GTA 5

We know that Rockstar has officially announced GTA 5, and if you've ever wanted to be part of a video game, the developer is giving gamers the opportunity to have their likeness incorporated into the upcoming game. Rockstar has recently announced their Epsilonism website where gamers will be able to enter their details as well as upload a photo of themselves to be given the chance to be in the running to be part of GTA 5. Unfortunately only 5 people out of everyone will be chosen to be put into the game, meaning that considering the huge fan base that the GTA franchise has, your chances of getting picked could be very slim.

Piquet Jr. spins Scott, post-race altercation leads to kick in the jewels, arrests (video)

It seems as if NASCAR drivers are hellbent on blurring the line between their sport and pro wrestling. Nelson Piquet Jr. and Brian Scott got into a little scuffle after a Nationwide Series race at Richmond International Raceway recently. The two drivers have had a running rivalry for some time now, and when Piquet spun Scott in a bid for 15th place, Scott stopped by Piquet's car post-race. Some shoving ensued, and Piquet decided to kick for Scott's groin in an attempt to put an end to the argument.

Virgin Galactic SpaceShipTwo Achieves 1st Rocket-Powered Flight

Virgin Galactic has certainly come a long way since it announced its intention to the world a few years ago, where even Sir Richard Branson himself would fly into space to conduct a wedding ceremony for a couple who would want a truly unique wedding, and here we are in 2013 with the SpaceShipTwo that has managed to achieve its first rocket-powered flight, dripped in success, of course. The test flight that happened on April 12, 2013 proved to be a key milestone in advancing the SpaceShipTwo's first rocket powered flight, having arrived at supersonic speeds to ensure a smooth journey toward commercial flights sometime down the road.

Google Now for iOS hands-on

Google Now for iOS hands-on

While there are few data sources missing, in our brief time with the app, we didn't discover any that we'd consider dealbreakers. (Honestly, the nearby events card has never actually resulted in us running out to buy tickets to something.) Where Google Now for iOS falls short, though, is in its convenience. On Android, Now is just a swipe or a long-press away; on an iOS device, you need to first launch the Google search app, then swipe up from where your cards are peeking out at the bottom of the screen. You also can't simply say "Google" to launch a voice search from within Now. Worst of all, there are no alerts or notifications.

Paranoid Android shows off their implementation of mutli-windows

Over the past few months, I have fallen head over heels in love with Paranoid Android. While I certainly hold the work of each ROM developer in very, very high regard (let's face it, Android would be a very frustrating platform without them) I love the creativity and functionality that PA adds. Their latest goody. Multi-window support for apps. The team behind Paranoid Android have shared a post giving some early details regarding their implementation on Google+, along with a video demoing it.

We've been hearing news of Blizzard's Warcraft movie for quite a while now, although so far it does not seem to be making any progress, especially with director Sam Raimi pulling out of the project alleging mismanagement on Blizzard's part. However according to Blizzard's Nick Carpenter, it looks like the movie might finally be progressing as he has announced that Bill Westenhofer has signed on to be the visual effects director for the movie.

AT&T Gloats Over On-Time Galaxy S4 Release

They say never kick your opponent when he or she is down, but I suppose all's fair when it comes to business rivalry. We do know that the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S4 from Sprint has been delayed, and the smartphone itself is running into constrained supplies with the reason of high demand behind it. This is a good problem to have, as folks would see it that way, but the good people over at AT&T are more than happy to announce via Twitter that they will keep to their word and ensure that AT&T-bound Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphones will arrive in-store at the announced date.

Jay Leno's Garage features funnyman's 1963 Jaguar E-Type

Jay Leno looks inward on this episode of his eponymous garage, checking out a 1963 Jaguar XKE that he bought earlier this year. It is an example of his favorite kind of car, that being original and unrestored. He bought the E-Type from its first owner, a woman who purchased it new, held on to it for 50 years and took excellent care of it. Having never been in an accident, Leno says even the paint is 85- to 90-percent original.

Charles Morgan has a pretty great job. The scion of Morgan's founder, and current managing director of the company clearly enjoys himself while driving the fruits of his enterprise. In another brief interview with Mr. Morgan, we get to hear and see a the tantalizing 3 Wheeler and Plus 8 on the road, overlaid with the man himself telling us just why his cars are so different, and so good.
When your priorities are brand history, great design, and, above all, building riotously fun-to-drive machines, you can be sure your cars will develop a following. So says Morgan, and so we believe.

The NOOK Color held the distinction of being the first popular 7" Android-powered tablet that was specially priced to move without breaking the $250 price point, where it ran on a highly customized version of the Android operating system that was specially designed to play nice with B&N's app and book stores.

Here's a stylus that will turn heads.  Instead of those short, skinny styluses that cause your fingers to cramp up, add a Stylus Cap from More/Real to your Sharpie.  Sharpies are a good size to hold comfortably, and the added stylus cap means you'll be able to use it with your tablet or smart phone for hours without cramping.  The cap comes with a firm stylus tip and a Sharpie pen, too.  Extra stylus tips are available for $6.00 for two.  The Stylus Cap is $25.00 in your choice of silver or black, as shown.

2013 Kia Soul Test Drive

It's been almost a year since my last test drive, so I've really been missing that new car smell. Lucky for me, I was offered an opportunity to do another test drive a couple weeks ago. This time it was for a fully loaded 2013 Kia Soul. It was delivered to me with a full tank of gas, a quick demo of the important features and then the key fob was handed to me and I was on my own to drive it for a week. I've been curious about this vehicle ever since seeing those cute hamster commercials on TV.

Rumor: Samsung Galaxy S4 Waterproof Edition Coming Your Way

Rumor: Samsung Galaxy S4 Waterproof Edition Coming Your Way

We have just come out with a mammoth review of the Samsung Galaxy S4, but here is a rumor going around that there could very well be a new and rugged Samsung Galaxy device, which would so happen to take on the guise of the upcoming flagship Samsung Galaxy S4, sporting waterproof and dustproof capabilities. It would be interesting to see just how the rugged version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 will fare when it finally hits the market (assuming this rumor is true in the first place) compared to other rugged smartphones that are currently available, just like the Sony Xperia Z.

AT&T adds another 291,000 customers in Q1

AT&T has finally dialed in its performance results for the first quarter in 2013. The biggest highlight for the company is that it added 291,000 net customers in wireless. The company also got 1.2 million more subscribers onto smartphones, something that's sure to help their bottom line in future quarters. Even better for Ma Bell was the company's ability to meet Wall Street's expectations almost digit for digit. The carrier was able to do that with $31.40 billion on $.64 per share in revenue on the quarter. About half of that $31.4 billion was brought in by AT&T's wireless division.

With the launch of the latest iPod touch, there have been rumors suggesting that the next-gen iPhone could also come in a multitude of color options as well. We're not sure if having color options will make or break a customer's decision, especially since the iPhone is an incredibly popular device to begin with, but who knows, right. In any case thanks to a photo of a purported iPhone 5S leaked component, it seems that at the very least we can expect the iPhone 5S to come in additional gold or gray finishes. ASUS Cube Google TV review

ASUS Cube Google TV review

Hardware Obviously, when you name your device after its shape, your intent is to draw attention to what you believe is a unique differentiator, so let's start there. The ASUS Cube is of course a cube, with every edge measuring just under five inches. Judging by the fact that it is bottom-heavy, we suspect the top half of the device is empty and wonder why the extra space wasn't used to house an internal power supply - but we do appreciate the decision to go with a power-brick style over a wall wart.
