Sony announced last month the PlayStation 4 would require a day one patch that would be required in order to install many of the console's features. The day one patch was expected to become available on the launch of the PlayStation 4, which is November 15, but Sony pulled the switch early and has released the console's patch for those lucky enough to own a next-generation console prior to its official release.
