RIM plans to remove sideloading in future update

RIM's BlackBerry PlayBook is not the most attractive tablet device to purchase at the moment as there does not seem to be any bright long term future for it, but that does not mean RIM has thrown in the towel already. No sir, RIM is still forging ahead with the BlackBerry PlayBook, but their latest move might not prove to be too popular. Sideloading, a function that describes the ability for the PlayBook OS to interpret Android apps, might actually be removed according to RIM VP Alec Saunders' recent Twitter post. According to Saunders, this move is a necessary evil because of the downside to sideloading – that is, the issue of piracy.
