Sprint has officially announced a new eco-friendly Android smartphone: the LG Optimus Elite, first seen at the end of last month. The Optimus Elite succeeds the LG Optimus S (introduced in late 2010), and features: Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 3.5 inch HVGA display, Wi-Fi, NFC, Google Wallet, 50GB of free cloud storage, 5MP rear camera, and an 800MHz processor. The case of the new handset is made of 50% recycled plastics.
