Is this a sign. Does it prove that Apple will let the iPad 2 stick around and be sold alongside the new iPad HD that it will announce today, but cheaper than it's been so far. We don't know, but the fact is that Canadian retailers Future Shop and Best Buy are both offering the iPad 2 at significant discounts already. With no other theories at hand, we have to assume that they're getting ready for Apple's news that we'll hear in less than three hours.
Only the 3G-enabled versions of the iPad 2 have seen the price cuts so far, but they aren't small ones. Each model is now $150 cheaper than its normal price.
