Virgin Mobile reportedly preparing to launch prepaid iPhone of their own

Virgin Mobile reportedly preparing to launch prepaid iPhone of their own

If you're looking to get your hands on an iPhone but you'd rather not be tied down to a contract, it seems that Cricket will not be the only carrier in the US to offer up a prepaid iPhone. According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, it seems that Sprint's Virgin Mobile has plans to launch a prepaid iPhone of their own. Assuming their intel is correct, the carrier will be making the official announcement sometime this week and could see a launch on the 1st of July. This would make Virgin Mobile the second carrier in the US to offer up a prepaid iPhone, with the first being Cricket.
