Looks like town and gown communities will be among the first to experience "super WiFi," the high-speed broadband made possible, in part, by TV. After getting the FCC nod back in the fall of 2010, the white spaces harboring these unused television frequencies were opened up, paving the way for a host of new wireless broadband services. Now, thanks to AIR.U - a consortium of over 500 higher learning institutions and tech industry partners like Google and Microsoft - underserved small college towns will soon see deployments of these high speed networks as early as Q1 2013.
