Photographers who are always on the lookout for developments in camera technology will be pleased to learn that Fujifilm and Panasonic have officially announced the joint development of a piece of sensor technology that will see a light-sensitive coating applied on top of a CMOS chip. With this new piece of technology, both the companies are claiming that this will afford higher dynamic range and sensitivity compared to current-generation CMOS sensors, along with the ability to receive light at steeper angles.
