Apple Plans to Replace Intel Processors in Macs with Own Chipset

Bloomberg has reported that Apple is considering to replace the Intel-made processors in Mac desktop and laptop computers with new chips based on designs it uses for its iOS-based gadgets. Apple had reportedly planned about such changes in the past, but had to face several challenges to achieve this. For one, its engineers have to make sure that the current Mac software would work on new processors.
