Chrysler may have the Super Bowl's most popular commercial for a third year in a row. Eminem and Eastwood helped it earn that distinction the last two years, and while Oprah did the voiceover for this year's Jeep ad, it's Chrysler's other spot that's in the running for Most Valuable Ad after the big game this year. So where did the Ram brand's commercial about farmers come from. As it turns out, the ad appears to be inspired, shall we say, by a video produced by Farms.com that was uploaded to YouTube in June, 2011. Greg Mitchell of The Nation pointed out the similarities between the two in an article published this morning.

McLaren marks 50th anniversary with short film 'Courage'

It's been 50 years since Bruce McLaren founded his now world-famous Formula One team. For half a century, the name has been at the forefront of racing and performance development, and to mark its golden anniversary, the company has crafted three short films. The first, titled simply "Courage," follows a fictionalized version of the team's founder as he recounts his brief life on the day of his death. At just under four minutes, the quick clip manages to succinctly capture the passion and drive not only of the man himself, but in the team he inspired.

Husqvarna sold to KTM CEO Stefan Pierer

A couple of days ago the UK's Motorcycle News reported that BMW was in the final stages of selling Husqvarna to KTM, with a deal potentially confirmed as soon as this week. Following that came reports that Husqvarna Motorcycles wasn't sold to KTM but to a Pierer Industries, the company owned by KTM CEO Stefan Pierer. Turns out the advance report was true, as was the follow-up: BMW has just announced a "strategic realignment" of its Motorrad division, explaining that it sold Husqvarna to Pierer Industries in order to focus on the urban and e-mobility segments. Husqvarna's off-road machines, obviously, don't fit into those categories.
